About Baptism

What is Baptism?

Baptism was used by the Jews to initiate converts into Judaism. John used baptism as a symbolic sign of repentance and forgiveness. Repentance means "to turn", implying a change in behavior. When you repent, you make a willful decision to turn away from sin and towards God. A changed life with new and different behavior makes your repentance real and visible.
